SIG Roofing branches across the UK have began sun cream giveaways to help tradespeople during the current heatwave and high UV levels.
The business has been supporting the national skin cancer prevention charity SKCIN for over two years, training staff and customers, and initiating campaigns to raise awareness, particularly among male outdoor workers, of the importance of applying sun protection and regularly checking for signs of skin cancer.
Its most recent initiative was at the Installer Show, where SIG Roofing encouraged all visitors to participate in a free face scan. The scanning camera highlighted sun damage on the skin and was operated by a representative from the charity SKCIN, who emphasised the importance of regular skin checks and looking for signs of change.
