BG, part of the Luceco Group, has released GridLite, its first modular switch range.

Designed in response to installer feedback, GridLite enables installers to build bespoke switch configurations quickly, replace individual modules and adapt installations without changing the entire device.

The screwless clip-in modular system allows modules to push into place, and its yoke-free design means modules can be installed either way up, giving electricians greater flexibility on site and speeding up installation.

Installers can also wire modules before fitting the faceplate, allowing the plate to be added at the final stage of the job, which reduces the risk of damage during decorating or final fix.

The range includes a comprehensive choice of modules, including standard switches, intermediate and retractive switches, key switches, touch dimmers, blank modules and USB-C charging modules, enabling installers to create bespoke switching solutions across a wide variety of applications.

Product manager for wiring accessories at BG, Dogan Dogan, says, ‘GridLite has been developed by listening to what installers want from a modular switching system. They told us they wanted a solution that is quicker to install, easier to adapt and flexible enough to suit a wide range of applications. By combining a unique screwless clip-in design with a yoke-free modular platform, we’ve created a system that simplifies installation today while making future modifications just as straightforward.
