Ridgeons made Ethical Partner

Managers from each of Ridgeons 20 merchant sites have been presented with “Ethical Partner” certificates from Stonemarket in recognition of the group’s pledge to stock their ethically sourced natural stone.

Ridgeons made Ethical Partner

Anne Ridgeon said, “When my great-grandfather started the company in 1911 the principles of ethics and integrity were at the heart of our business, and this has been a constant throughout the development of the Ridgeon Group. We remain focused on those values, and I believe that in running our business we have a duty to make sure that inhumane and exploitative practises are not tolerated.”

She continued, “Stonemarket’s Ethical Partner Scheme offers cast-iron assurances that the products have been sourced without using child labour, and that the workers employed have been given ethical and safe working conditions. We are delighted to be working alongside them in supporting this scheme.”
