More IBMG branches launch £2,000 landscaping challenge

Branches of builders merchants RGB Building Supplies, BuildIt, CRS Building Supplies, and Grant & Stone Build, part of IBMG, have launched the Community Landscaping Challenge, offering £2,000 worth of landscaping materials to support a project that will make a real difference in their area. It mirrors a similar challenge launched by IBMG’s south east brands, Parker Building Supplies, Chandlers Building Supplies, and Fairalls Builders Merchants, earlier in the year.

The challenge aims to champion organisations that are working hard to improve outdoor spaces for the people they support, which could mean creating a sensory garden, revamping a tired courtyard, building raised beds, or completing a community project.

Eligible groups are invited to submit their entry by emailing marketing@independentbm.com, explaining what they would use the materials for and the positive impact the project would have.

Once the entry window closes at 23:59 on 14th August 2026, a shortlist of finalists will be selected for each brand and showcased on the merchants’ social media channels, where the public will be invited to vote for the winner.

IBMG sales director Grant Lockett, said: “We know how much difference a well-designed outdoor space can make — from supporting wellbeing to creating places where people can connect. This challenge is our way of giving back to the communities we serve and shining a light on the brilliant work happening locally. We can’t wait to see the ideas that come forward.”

The winning organisation will receive up to £2,000 of landscaping products to help bring their project to life.
