MKM Building Supplies expand with New Milton acquisition

MKM has acquired NMSB’s builders merchant, creating MKM New Milton.

The new branch will continue to be led by NMSB branch managers Matt Lock and Richard Froggett, along with the existing NMSB team.

Investment is already being planned for the branch, with the expanded branch set to  offer 12,500 square feet of warehouse, retail and trade counter space, alongside increased stockholding and an expanded range across building materials, timber, plumbing and heating, kitchens and bathrooms.

MKM, CEO Kate Tinsley said: “At MKM, we believe local people know their market best. That’s why every branch is run by local branch directors, giving them the freedom to make decisions that benefit their customers, colleagues and communities.

To date, more than three million LOOP pallets have been issued, with £1.5 million paid back into the construction industry, and with £8 million still available to be claimed.
