Duravit UK & Ireland begins leadership transition

Duravit UK & Ireland has announced that managing director Martin Carroll will be retiring at the end of 2026.

Since joining Duravit in 2012, Carroll has played a key role in driving the brand’s growth across the UK and Ireland, including opening the flagship Clerkenwell showroom in London in 2018.

As part of a planned succession process, Jamie Welch has been appointed managing director of Duravit UK & Ireland, effective from 1st September 2026, working closely with Carroll until the end of 2026 to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.

In the new role, Welch will be responsible for further strengthening Duravit’s position in the UK and Irish markets, expanding customer partnerships, and driving the company’s continued growth strategy in the region.

Duravit chief executive officer Michael Demmer, comments: “Martin Carroll has had a significant impact on the company’s development in the UK and Ireland. He laid the groundwork for Duravit’s future success in the region. On behalf of the entire management team, I wish him all the best in his retirement.”
