NMBS has progressed from an affiliate to a full equity-owning member of Euro Craft, a European consortium of buying groups for the construction and industrial sectors.
Euro Craft, founded in 1995 by the SOCODA Group, is a major network of independent distributors for the building and industrial sectors in France.
Collectively, members of the consortium are active in over 30 countries and unite 4,500 independent businesses who between them operate 10,000 separate outlets. Euro Craft’s combined purchasing power is an estimated €15 billion per annum.
Kevin Williams, CEO at NMBS, explains: “We’ve had a great year at Euro Craft and we’re delighted that the onboarding process as a shareholder has now been successfully completed. Collaborating with the other members has been extremely useful and beneficial. There is an exciting journey ahead and new scope for NMBS to build both on our offer and our impressive achievements to date.
“NMBS’ position as a shareholding member of Euro Craft ensures major benefits for the merchants and industry suppliers we work with.
“It gives NMBS even greater purchasing power and the ability to co-operate and share knowledge with other buying groups across Europe. It also enables us to more easily access new supply partners and key European decision makers as well as to negotiate on a pan-European basis.”
