Covers has supported the hospice for many years with company donations from initiatives including its Help for Hospices campaign and more recently the company’s Christmas Jumper Day.

Covers was recognised by the charity for its regular annual donations, even during the pandemic when the company was unable to host its usual fundraising activities. Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice has been caring for people with life-limiting illnesses in Southampton and West Hampshire for over 40 years. This includes conditions such as respiratory disease, heart disease, Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, and end-stage dementia, as well as cancer.

It’s an honour to support the hospice and be part of the important work they do providing the community with access to high quality end-of-life care.”

Nigel Hartley, Mountbatten Chief Executive, added: “Corporate supporters are vital to ensuring that we can continue to help everyone that needs our support. COVID has presented Mountbatten Hampshire with new challenges and we’re very grateful to Covers Timber & Builders Merchants and their staff, as well as all of the other award winners and participants, for continuing to support us.”
