The country’s largest housing development of zero carbon homes will be built in Peterborough after planners gave it the green-light.
Developer Morris Homes is to construct 295 homes built to level 6 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
The sustainable development will include 63 two-bedroom, 90 three-bedroom and 68 four-bedroom houses as well as 74 two-bedroom flats.
The seven-storey apartment block, which will have a grass roof and green walling, will include a food store at the bottom.
