Cemco the independent merchant buying group added three lightside merchants to the membership on January 1.
The companies are: Paul Dufton & Co, who trade out of two branches in Leeds, Warwick Plumbing and Heating Supplies with a single branch in Oldham and Total Plumbing Supplies, who have two branches in Chard and Axminster in the south west.
Their addition brings enhanced geographical coverage to the Cemco network which now totals nearly 90 lightside trading branches across the UK.
Mike Hillier, Cemco commercial director says: “Cemco has recognised that strategic membership growth in the lightside product area is far more important to its members and supply partners as it affords volumes, geographical coverage and commitment to suppliers that can only be surpassed by the nationals.
“Any independent Lightside merchant that is of a reasonable size has ambitions to grow and feels that they share the same values as Cemco should seriously consider the opportunities that exist in being a member of such a progressive group”.
