Bristan’s Saffron Basin Mixer, complete with Eco Start technology, has been shortlisted for Domestic Energy Saving Product of the Year at the Energy Saving Awards 2023.
The Energy Saving Awards celebrate the very best professionals, products, and projects across the Plumbing, HVAC and Energy Management sectors and were created to recognise the efforts of organisations and individuals on the path to reducing carbon emissions and becoming more energy efficient.
Jonty Cook, category manager for Taps at Bristan, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for Domestic Energy Saving Product of the Year.
“At Bristan, saving energy and increasing the sustainability of our products is incredibly important to us. As a result, a huge amount of testing has gone into the development of our Eco Start technology. To see this hard work come to fruition has been brilliant for our team.”
The Domestic Energy Saving Product of the Year category specifically acknowledges the most innovative domestic energy-saving products that will help users reduce their energy usage.
It’s Saffron Basin Mixer enables customers to save energy and save money on their gas bills thanks to its Eco Start technology, all while adding that finishing touch to customers’ bathrooms.
This technology saves energy by having cold water as the default central start position of the tap handle, meaning hot water is only activated when the tap lever is moved, and only then is the boiler fired up.
