Fifty years after Carhartt first introduced its denim hooded Active Jac, the work wear brand is taking the jacket back to its roots with a new limited-edition release.
A core part of the range for 50 years, the J140 Loose Fit Denim Active Jac (106976) is flannel-lined, hooded denim jacket updated to meet the demands of today’s work sites.
The new release is not a reissue of the 1975 original, but draws heavily on that early identity.
The Active Jac is made from 12.25 oz rigid, no-stretch denim, chosen for its durability and long-lasting performance and comes in a wash developed to closely match the historic Denim Active Jac.
It now has a flannel lining and poly insulation for cold-weather protection, a three-piece hood with adjustable draw cord and every main seam is triple-stitched.
The cuffs and waistband are elastane-reinforced for a snugger fit, the integrated Wind Fighter cuts the chill and plenty of pockets keep essentials stored.
