VELUX® and Disney join forces to unveil Star Wars-inspired blinds collection

To celebrate the launch of the new film, VELUX® and Disney have teamed up to create the Star Wars & VELUX® Galactic Night Collection. This series of four otherworldly black out blinds are designed to marry the aesthetics and functionalities of a children’s bedroom, providing aspiring Jedis with the optimum amount of daylight needed for playtime and sleeping.

Sleep and play are two of the most important and talked about aspects of a child’s life. With this in mind, the new collection offers an array of exciting designs to stimulate imaginations whilst also offering total blackout, allowing parents to create the perfect slumber at any time of the day – whether it’s an afternoon nap or a good night’s sleep.

The blinds come in four vibrant and dynamic intergalactic designs:

  • The Kylo Ren blind illustrates the dark side of the Force with the character wielding his own light saber in the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
  • The Droids design features the lovable astromech droid R2-D2, the gold finished protocol droid C-3PO and the new BB-8 astromech droid revealed in the latest instalment of the film series.
  • The Darth Vader panel depicts one of the film history’s most notorious and wicked villains, serving the evil Galactic Empire with the dark side of the Force.
  • The Death Star blind showcases the Galactic Empire’s battle station, the ultimate weapon, which is able to destroy other planets with its super laser.

This latest launch follows on from the VELUX® Group’s first collaboration with Disney in 2014 to produce a series of blinds featuring six of Disney’s most loved characters – Winnie the Pooh, Bambi, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Disney Princess and Planes.
