Building materials supplier National Plastics is inviting Schools, charities and community groups across Chester, Ilkeston and Scunthorpe to apply for a £10,000 refurbishment project as part of a new community competition.
Branches in Chester (Bumpers Lane), Ilkeston (Falcon Court) and Scunthorpe (Parkway Business Park) have launched The Big Build Competition, awarding one local organisation located within a 10-mile radius of each branch a fully managed refurbishment project worth up to £10,000.
The competition is open to schools, registered charities and community groups.
Commercial director at National Plastics, Sanjit Dosanjh, commented: “Across Chester, Ilkeston and Scunthorpe there are fantastic organisations doing important work for their communities, often in spaces that could really benefit from some investment. The Big Build Competition is our chance to change that for one of them.
“We wanted to create a competition that gives organisations the opportunity to transform their facilities and make an even bigger difference to the people who rely on them.”
Entries are open until April 13 2026, with winning projects to be announced the week commencing April 27. Applications must include a brief overview of the project, the expected community impact, and an outline of the proposed works.
