Builders merchant Jewson has raised £5,900 for charity partner Barnardo’s with its ‘Buy a Brick’ campaign.

This brings the total to £320,000 that Jewson employees, suppliers and customers have helped raise since since May 2011.
The Buy a Brick campaign offered Jewson suppliers the chance to buy a brick at a minimum cost of £100 with their logo on it, which formed part of a brick wall display at Jewson’s head office in Binley, Coventry.
Jewson managing director Peter Stringer said: “We would like to thank all the suppliers who supported our ‘Buy a Brick’ campaign. Due to their generosity we exceeded our original target, with all the bricks snapped up in just 6 weeks. Our employees, customers and suppliers have done a fantastic job helping to raise over £320,000, but there is still more we can do, so we are pleased to confirm we will continue to partner Barnardo’s throughout 2013.”
Suppliers who bought bricks included DBM, Gloucester Rugby, Yale, LPD, Wavin, Bosch, Polypipe Civils, Jeld-wen, Crown Paints, Velux, Premdor, Marshalls, Routeways, Spax, ASP and Carlisle Brass.
