Civils Store raises over £26,000 for Air Ambulance UK

Civils Store has raised £26,412.80 for Air Ambulance UK at its black-tie charity dinner, which was to celebrate its 10-year anniversary.

The event was held at the de Vere Tortworth Court Hotel, Wotton -under-Edge, Gloucestershire on July 2 – the event featured a Gala Dinner, Charity Auction, Raffle, Casino and Live Music.IMG 3090

A spokesperson for Civils said: “The amount or money raised has exceeded all our expectations and is testament to the generosity of the amazing industry that we are all proud to be part of.”

Over forty suppliers and customers supported the event by way of table sponsorship and donations of raffle prizes.

Kevin Hancock, managing director at Civils, commented on some of the challenges of the past 10 years and, against this back drop how proud everyone was of the company that had been built. How challenging, exciting, rewarding and humbling the journey had been and how much the company had relied on the support of its people, customers and suppliers.

Emma Carter of the Air Ambulance spoke at the evening reminding everyone that on average each life- saving mission by the Air Ambulance costs £3,962 and is funded almost entirely by donations.

Awards were presented for outstanding supplier service, to recognize customer support and for lifetime achievement.
