Hardware brand ERA has appointed Dan Knight as certification manager for Quanex Hardware Solutions .
In his new role, Knight will play a key role in advancing ERA’s independent Test Laboratory in the West Midlands.
His appointment follows Quanex’s purchase of the Tyman group in August 2024, which includes the brands ERA and Zoo Hardware. The two UK brands now sit alongside Giesse and Reguitti under Quanex Hardware Solutions.
Knight commented: “Having our own testing facility is a key differentiator for ERA, allowing us to completely control the process of making sure our products are fully compliant, perform well and operate safely, giving us confidence to go into the market.
“Compliance is a key market expectation and for customers in the UK, there is a real benefit of working with a supplier with a global outlook on this.”
