Builders merchant Bradfords Building Supplies is sponsoring the Cornish Pirates rugby team for the current season.

A Rugby Union Championship team, the Cornish Pirates train and play at the Mennave Field in Penzance, just yards from Bradfords’ Penzance branch. The partnership also includes sponsorship of players Tommy Wyatt and Cory Teague, both of whom are dual-registered from the Exeter Chiefs this season. Bradfords will be Match Day Sponsors for the team’s game against Coventry on 30 October.
Cornish Pirates, CEO Rebecca Thomas said: “Bradfords have a large presence across the South West and are already supporting other prominent sporting Clubs in the region. It is great for the Cornish Pirates to be added to the list and to start this partnership with them.”
Paul Malloy, head of marketing at Bradfords Building Supplies, added: “We have a long history of supporting local communities wherever we operate, and we’re delighted to be in partnership with a team that’s at the forefront of rugby in Cornwall. We understand the influence that these clubs have in creating cohesion in communities and in encouraging young people from the local area into grassroots sport.”
