BPF Pipes Group adds new standards and technical manager

Yannis Stavropoulos has been appointed Standards and Technical Manager at the BPF Pipes Group, replacing Owen Mace who will become Director on the retirement of Caroline Ayres at the end of August.

Yannis joins from BSI Assurance UK Ltd, where he was Certification Manager. Prior to that he held project manager roles at the British Board of Agrément (BBA) in product certification, and at the construction company VAFIADIS SA, where he was involved in several construction stages of various infrastructure projects.

Stavropoulos says: “I hope to utilise my experience in construction and certification to benefit BPF Pipes Group members and I’m looking forward to working with the technical groups to support the innovation, development and promotion of even safer and higher-performing plastic pipe products, and their integration into current and new infrastructure.”
