Travis Perkins supports apprentice builder project

The builders merchant is donating materials worth £3605 and providing free equipment hire to a build project taking place at Nanna’s Animal Sanctuary in Wellingborough.

This is the second year running that Travis Perkins has supported the ‘Make A Difference’ campaign which is run by radio station Connect FM. Listeners voted for the worthy cause they wanted to see the company and the local college support.

Matthew Aitken, Travis Perkins assistant marketing manager, said: “Travis Perkins takes supporting its local community and encouraging new skills very seriously, so the ‘Make A Difference’ campaign is the ideal cause for us to support.

“We work hard to make sure our trade counters are approachable for young builders and that our branch managers build relationships with them as they would with more experienced tradesmen. This level of commitment is vital to encourage the progression of skills in this industry.”
