TP goes green with UKGBC

Builders merchant group Travis Perkins has joined the UK Green Building Council.

The UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC) is a membership organisation campaigning for a sustainable built environment.

Paul Joyner, Director of Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS), said: “Joining the Green Building Council was an obvious step for the Travis Perkins Group, as we look to develop our position as a market-leader within sustainable building and our commitment to making it easier for the industry to deliver sustainable build projects.”

UK Green Building Council members represent a broad cross-section of the built environment sector and include fellow builders merchant George Bence & Sons, Jewson – via parent company BMJ Saint Gobain and Travis Perkins’ stablemate PTS, as well as National Buying Group and Unimer and suppliers Knauf Drywall, Knauf Insulation and Lafarge.
