Stelrad receives Zero Waste to Landfill Certification

David with certificateRadiator manufacturer Stelrad Radiators has received its updated certification of Zero Waste to Landfill from Valpak.

The manufacturer received its original certification in 2024 but has been reassessed in April 2025 and had its certification level improved.

Stelrad Procurement and supply chain manager David Martin Taylor says: “Last year’s certification was excellent for a first assessment and highlighted a small amount of waste to landfill due to construction work on site but this year there has been no similar situation and we have a full certification with absolutely no waste to landfill – something we’re proud of and intend to maintain.”

Since the Packaging Waste Regulations were introduced, Valpak has provided environmental solutions to over 4,000 customers including Stelrad. It has also expanded its offerings and alternative services to cover wider areas of sustainability including waste management and recycling, carbon management, energy management, international compliance and data management. Its main role is to inspire businesses to do all they can to reduce environmental impact with leading data science and expertise.

Stelrad has demonstrated that the site in Mexborough is achieving zero waste to landfill. Not only this but have also achieved a high reuse and recycling rate of 74%. Stelrad no longer sends any waste to landfill and as a result the certification has been upgraded from ‘Zero Avoidable Waste to Landfill’ to ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’.

“This is more excellent news for the company and highlights once again our efforts to reduce waste going to landfill and supports the company’s environmental policy,” says Taylor.
