Plumbers merchant chain Plumb Center, part of Wolseley UK, has launched a new guide to renewable heating technologies, to support its roll-out of specialist renewable branches across the country.
The Sustainable Building Center in Leamington Spa has been revamped so that it can now offer a range of installer training courses on renewable from solar thermal to micro-generation, including BPEC accredited training courses.
The renewable guide 2011 covers everything from climate change, energy efficiency, training and financial incentives to legislation and water efficiency. It’s designed to be a reference tool for installers with entire sections dedicated to energy – including solar, heat pumps and biomass – and water conservation – including rainwater harvesting, grey water recycling and water efficient products.
It also features all the latest technologies from the leading brands outlining the features/benefits of each product, together with technical specifications and clear images.The guide will help installers to sell their customers the concept of renewable technology as well.
Plumb Center renewables director Simon Allan said: “We want to make renewable energy technology as accessible as possible to our customers, dispelling the myths and demonstrating the benefits. This is why we have produced such a comprehensive reference book as the renewable guide 2011, have working displays of new and sustainable technologies in branch actually providing space and water heating for the building and are providing training courses leading to BPEC qualifications which count towards the MCS accreditation, giving installers a business advantage over their competitors.”
Throughout 2011, Plumb Center will also continue to rollout specialist renewable branches, boasting working renewable technology displays and water efficient products.
