James Burrell invests in boosting staffing levels post-lockdown

Independent builders merchant, James Burrell is recruiting across the North East and Yorkshire, despite the extremely challenging first half of the year.

HR manager Alyson Hunter points out that the global pandemic caused by COVID-19 has been the toughest challenge faced by many in the construction industry as a whole. Companies have had to think on their feet to navigate through a very demanding and unprecedented time.

“During these testing few months, at James Burrell Builders Merchant we focussed on the safety and well-being of customers, and staff, staff retention and job security were our top priorities.

“So we’re delighted to be in a position to be hiring for nine roles across the business,” she says.
