International Timber joins BMF

Distributor of timber and panel products, International Timber, has joined the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF).
Part of Saint-Gobain Building Distribution, International Timber has a global supply network and offers a range of services including bespoke machining, kilning, finishing and timber treatment.

The company has expert teams at each of its six sites across the UK to help construction professionals, merchants and manufacturers.

In November 2014, the BMF hosted its first ever Timber Forum at its Coventry HQ, an event International Timber plans to play a full part in.

Stuart McKill, Timber MD for Saint-Gobain Building Distribution said: “The merchant community is an important customer group and we are looking forward to playing a full part in the BMF, particularly within the recently launched Timber Forum.”

The Forum aims to give merchants and suppliers operating in this sector an environment to discuss common issues and share best practice that will help to develop the market.

BMF MD John Newcomb said: “It is encouraging to see major suppliers responding so quickly to the opportunity it provides and I am delighted to welcome International Timber into membership.”
