Andrew Pine, President of the Institute of Builders Merchants has presented builders merchant Juliet Baker with the Mason Elliott Trophy and a cheque for £250 for being the highest achiever at NVQ Level 3.
The presentation was made at the BMF Members Day on September 20.
A further £1,000 is available to Baker’s employer, Jewson, to enable her to continue her management development through the BMF. She will also receive 1 year’s free associate membership of the Institute.
Baker was selected for this award for being an articulate and confident apprentice, an example of what can be achieved with hard work and dedication.
Pine said: “It was a great pleasure to present Juliet with her prize – recognising the achievement of individuals in the industry, and facilitating their Continuing Professional Development is what the Institute is all about.”
