Ideal Stelrad links up with Wesupply

Boiler and radiator manufacturer Ideal Stelrad is moving all of its UK Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes to Wesupply’s OneTime fully managed EDI service.

Ideal Stelrad links up with Wesupply

OneTime ensures that critical order information is passed securely and accurately between suppliers and customers. Thus will Ideal Stelrad be able to exchange transactions in real time with all trading partners in any EDI message, file and transmission formats.

This will allow the company to have more visibility of its supply chain, open supplier relationships and adapt easily to customer information rules without increasing costs.

Ideal Stelrad has been using Wesupply for two years for managing all of its current EDI transactions, together with an aggressive roll out programme to embrace 90% of all its sales order transactions.

It will now aim to extend this across its supply-side partners. The service is expected to further increase the company’s visibility and efficiency and reduce their IT costs.

John Glanville, IT director, Ideal Stelrad Group, said, “The beauty of Wesupply’s managed EDI service is that it’s a ‘no pain -all gain’ solution. We don’t have to incur capital IT expenditure in order to add visibility to our supply chain and run our operations more smoothly and cost effectively. Meanwhile our customers and suppliers have the assurance of more accurate orders and on-time deliveries and payments.”
