Focus to be sold as going concern

Administrators for stricken DIY business Focus are looking to sell it as a going concern.

Accountants Ernst & Young says it has received a “fantastic level of interest” in the business which went into administration on May 5.

Joint administrator Simon Allport said that the stores have been trading well over the last week. “We are grateful to all the group’s loyal customers, suppliers and employees for their continued support.

“We have received a fantastic level of interest in the business and will continue to seek offers for the sale of the business.”

Ernst & Young are continuing to trade all stores.
