Durning leaves NBG

Independent builders merchant buying group National Buying Group has announced that its chief executive officer Allan Durning has stepped down from his role.

Durning leaves NBG

After five years, during which Durning has steered the group through a significant period of change, he now feels it is time for a new challenge.

James Norton, NBG interim executive chairman, said: “The Executive Board of NBG would like to thank Allan for all his hard work over recent years and wish him every success in his next role”.

During finishes his role with NBG on Monday (April 30 2012).

NBG are currently recruiting a chairman. The process is at second interview stage and Norton says that the group hopes to be able to make an announcement in May, in time for the NMBS exhibition at Telford.
