ACO use recyclable material for KerbDrain

Developed by ACO Technologies, this new polymeric material will meet the growing demand from planners, engineers and contractors for products that will help meet tightening project sustainability targets without compromising performance or cost.

Certified to Load Class D400, the ACO KerbDrain range is available in three standard depths: 480mm, 305mm ‘Kompact’ and 255mm. The vertical faces of every unit are cast with a series of unique ‘cut-aways’ that, in addition to creating a stronger bond with the surrounding substrate, reduce the volume of material used – a key feature of sustainable manufacturing.

“Increasingly, highways specifications are asking for recycled products to be considered wherever possible. To date, such materials have either lacked the installed performance or been too costly to be viable. Matching and even outperforming traditional materials, the development of Vienite marks a significant breakthrough,” says Peter Ridgway, market development director at ACO Technologies.
