Civil engineering product manufacturer Wrekin, alongside its subdivision Geoworks, has opened a new customer experience centre.
The Civils Hub, adjacent to Wrekin and Geoworks’ headquarters in Lichfield, offers users an opportunity to get hands-on with a full range of ductile iron, steel and geosynthetic products.
As well as displays that explain each products applications, the Civils Hub includes miniature versions of products for visitors to take a closer look at and see how different products behave, where they add value, and where poor choices can cause long-term issues.
The Hub also includes space catering for the delivery of CPD sessions which are available to those wanting to increase their understanding and ability to specify and use the products offered by Wrekin and Geoworks.
Simon Turner, managing director at Wrekin, said: “Whether it’s opening our new Civils Hub or working with independent industry assessment bodies, we are constantly working on different ways to give our customers and the wider industry the confidence that our products are designed with quality, reliability and safety in mind. We believe too many on-site problems start with decisions made without ever seeing products or understanding how they are installed, so the Civils Hub helps close that gap.”
