Wolseley Group completes John O’Groats to Lands End walk for Dementia UK

Burdens and Fusion Utilities, part of Wolseley Group, have already raised over £18,000 for Dementia UK after embarking on a charity walk from John O’Groats to Land’s End last month.

The fundraising walk, which began on August 31, saw colleagues from across Wolseley undertake multiple legs of the walk, spanning the entire length of the UK and covered over 889.2 miles in four weeks.Wolseley Infrastructure Walk

Neal Lambert, technical director at Fusion Utilities, said: “Dementia UK is a charity that is close to the hearts of many of us here at Wolseley, and we’re so proud of what the team has achieved. It was certainly a challenging experience, but undoubtedly worth it to support such an important cause.”

Dementia UK was named Wolseley’s charity of the year following a company-wide vote, with the recent fundraising efforts supporting the charity’s vital work to improve the quality of life of those with dementia and their families.

Lambert added: “This is just the beginning, as we plan many more fundraising activities to continue supporting Dementia UK to reach our fundraising target of £500,000. Watch this space!”
