Tool distributor Toolbank picked up two awards at the annual Meet the Merchant/Suppplier of the Year awards hosted by independent builders and timber merchant Ridgeons.

Toolbank scoops Ridgeons Supplier award for 2015

The event, held at Ridgeons’ Pampisford site in Cambridge, was well supported with branch managers from Ridgeons’ 26 stores and over 60 exhibiting suppliers in attendance.

The annual event which brings together key suppliers and branch managers underwent a format change this year encouraging less formal interaction and more social networking. This allowed for Ridgeons suppliers to discuss industry developments and showcase new products from across a variety of product categories including building materials, plumbing & heating, bathrooms & kitchens, paint & Ironmongery and timber and panel products.

The event closed with the annual Ridgeons ‘Supplier of the Year’ awards, now in their ninth year. The awards recognise those suppliers who have worked in partnership to deliver business improvement and exceptional levels of service.

Bob Butler head of purchasing at Ridgeons said: “This event is of huge value to both our suppliers and staff. It gives suppliers the opportunity to talk to all our branch managers in one place, enhancing existing relationships and building new ones. Plus it’s really important for us to see the latest technology and products within the market to ensure that we remain best placed to support our customers.”
