The joint administrators of Sunderland independent builders merchant A Thompson & Sons Ltd have announced that all branches have closed.
The KPMG joint administrators have confirmed that the closure of the four Thompson Building Centre and six TAPS plumbers merchant outlets is due to continued poor trading.
80 employees have had to be made redundant, while 20 remain to assist the administrators as they continue to seek a sale of the businesses and assets.
