TG Builders Merchants to open eighth branch

Family-owned TG Group has announced it will open its eighth builders merchants branch next year after acquiring land in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

TG Builders Merchants to open eighth branch

The merchant will become the first company to establish a business at Chartwell Park, Bridgnorth, which was formerly a brownfield site.

The land consisting of six acres was originally developed by Advantage West Midlands in 2009 and will be used to house a new TG Builders Merchants branch, which is expected to offer up to 20 Jobs to local people.

The new branch is expected to be trading by Easter 2016.

Seven further branches of TG Builders merchants are currently operating throughout Shropshire and surrounding counties.

The Chartwell Park branch of TG Builders Merchants complements its branch at Wolverley, just 12 miles away – formerly Hardwicks Landscape Centre, the business was acquired by the TG Group in January 2014 and now trades under the name of TG Hardwicks. The two branches will be working closely together to serve the local community.

TG Group chairman, Tudor Griffiths said: “We are delighted to acquire this land and to have the opportunity to bring business and jobs to Bridgnorth.

“It’s especially pleasing that this land, which has laid dormant for several years following the recession, can now be put to good use.

“We are confident that our decision to move onto Chartwell Park will encourage more businesses to move here.”
