Glass wool insulation manufacturer Superglass, part of the Etex Group, has launched new packaging across its product range.
The new packaging cuts ink usage by up to 93% to as low as 6%, and features an updated design that retains the familiar colour coding and graphic icons designed to help merchants, installers and housebuilders identify the right insulation product for each job.
In addition to the significant reduction in ink, the redesigned packaging is made from durable, weatherproof plastic that contains 30% post industrial recycled content.
This initiative supports Etex’s sustainability commitments under its Road to Sustainability 2030 framework, building on a 7.75% reduction in carbon intensity achieved in 2025.
General manager Kevin Tolson, commented: “Our focus with this redesign was simple. We wanted to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging without compromising what customers rely on day to day.
“By cutting ink use by over 90%, we’ve made a meaningful change, but just as importantly, we’ve kept the packs easy to recognise and handle on site and in merchant branches.
“It’s a practical step forward that reflects how we’re approaching sustainability across the business, making improvements that work in the real world for our customers as well as reducing our impact.”
