Selco expands its London branch network

More than 50 jobs have been created in and around Isleworth as builders merchant Selco Builders Warehouse opens its 19th branch in London next month.
The merchant will officially open its latest branch on Worton Road, Isleworth on Monday, September 1, with former world darts champion Mark Webster the special celebrity guest.

Webster, who became BDO World Champion in 2008, will take on customers, staff and members of the public at Selco in a series of special darts challenges between 5pm and 7.30pm.

The merchant say the new branch is a welcome and significant boost to the local community, with virtually all staff employed from the Isleworth area into a variety of jobs and with opportunities to progress their careers and skills in the future.

Chris Cunliffe, chief executive officer for Selco Builders Warehouse, said: “We continue to adopt a policy of employing people from the branch’s local community. It ensures we have local and knowledgeable staff ready to assist our customers.

“We are delighted that we have been able to provide a significant boost to the Isleworth economy and provide career opportunities for the newly-recruited staff.

“Customers working in and around Isleworth will be able to enjoy the benefits of Selco’s three guarantees that underpin our entire offering – unrivalled availability with the widest range of products in stock, excellent customer service and straight trade pricing.”
