Independent builders merchant Ridgeons presented its fifth supplier of the yearawards at its annual Meet the Merchants event in Norwich, on Thursday ( March 1).
Kitchen supplier Rixonway walked away with both the Lightside supplier award and the Overall Supplier of the year award. Akzo Nobel won the Hardware and decoration supplier award, the Keystone Group won the Heavyside supplier award for the second year running and Stonemarket sales representative, Chris Eldridge, was presented with the Sales representative of the year award.
The event, which took place at Wensum Valley Hotel Golf and Country Club in Taverham, Norwich, brought together key suppliers and Ridgeons’ employees.
This year’s event theme was ‘Growing profitable sales in challenging times’ and brought together 47 suppliers and 60 Ridgeons employees including trading managers and sales representatives, resulting in over 750 meetings.
Ridgeons managing director Angela Rushforth presented the awards and said: “This year’s event was once again a huge success and provided a perfect platform for our team to build relationships and develop partnerships with our key suppliers. It’s these fundamentals that are at the core of what we as a company believe and reaffirms our philosophy of recognising the value of long term, trusted relationships with employees, customers and suppliers.”
