Ridgeons buys more Linde trucks

Independent timber and builders merchant Ridgeons is investing half a million pounds in a new fleet of forklift trucks and side-loaders.

The £500,000 contract has been awarded to Linde for the supply of 12 engine counterbalance trucks, two electric counterbalance trucks and two sideloaders from Linde on a ten year maintenance contract.

Fleet manager Ewan Hunter said: “Our fleet of Linde IC counterbalance trucks enables us to lift pallets on and off our delivery vehicles easily while the S50 side loaders are capable of lifting long pallets of timber at almost 6 metres in length, on and off our vehicles.”

Ridgeons has 23 sites across East Anglia.
