PTS join Green Building Council

Plumbing, heating and sanitaryware supplier PTS have become a member of the UK Green Building Council in support of the design and construction of sustainable buildings.

UK GBC work to challenge construction policies and improve the energy and water consumption of buildings and reduce their waste. The organisation wants to take a lead role in reducing the 50% of total greenhouse gas emissions that come from buildings.

Alan Ball, managing director of PTS, commented: “We felt there was a strong connection between our efforts to communicate sustainability to installers and the aim of the UK GBS to provide a single source of knowledge for the industry as a whole.”

Nine other countries have a Green Building Council in operation.
