The main events were a challenging five-day 400km Andalucian bike ride from Granada to Seville for 28 employees and suppliers, and a trek in Croatia which saw 30 staff and suppliers trekking over four days through the Istrian peninsula.

Fundraising activities ranged from traditional raffles and golf days to glamorous balls and Christmas parties.

Keith Jones, Plumb Center’s managing director, said: “Fundraising continues to be incredibly important to us all here at Plumb Center, Parts Center and throughout Wolseley UK.

“We are conscious that we use the scale and breadth of the company to help others wherever possible and have great admiration for the work of Action for Children. We are extremely grateful to all those who took part.”
