The Plumbing Heating Group hosted its Annual Supplier Awards at Carden Park Hotel in Chester at the end of May to celebrate and recognise excellence in the plumbing, heating and bathroom industry.
A total of 259 guests from the plumbing, heating and bathroom sector attended the event, including 196 supplier representatives joined by 63 PHG representatives.
The yearly event is one of the largest independent gatherings of plumbing, heating & bathroom suppliers and independent merchants in the calendar.
The merchant buying group now has 13 members operating out of 276 branches across the UK plumbing, heating & bathroom sector.
David Pochin, Chairman at PHG said: “The PHG supplier awards brings together the best of the Independent Plumbing and Heating merchants and their chosen suppliers for an evening of celebration and entertainment. Congratulations to all the supplier nominees and award winners.”
Winners included:
FM Products, awarded Plumbing Supplier of the Year (under £700k)
Viva Sanitary, winning Plumbing Supplier of the Year (over £700k)
Ideal Heating won Instinct Plumbing & Heating Supplier of the Year, Heating Supplier of the Year (over £1m) and Overall Supplier of the Year.
Wilo was awarded Heating Supplier of the Year (under £1m),
Highlife Bathrooms was awarded Bathroom Supplier of the Year (under £1m)
Ideal Standard took Bathroom Supplier of the Year (over £1m)
And Roper Rhodes was awarded Instinct Bathroom Supplier of the Year, as well as the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award.
Finally, honouring individual achievement, David Bainbridge was awarded Most Engaged Supplier Team Member.
As part of the celebrations, guests were able to take part in a golf competition and outdoor activities, including axe throwing, air rifle shooting, rollerball, duck herding and zip lining at Carden Park during the day, followed by an Awards Dinner at the Carden Park Hotel in the evening.
The Awards ceremony included a speech from David Pochin, chairman at PHG and to conclude the evening, comedian, ventriloquist and winner of 2015 ‘America’s Got Talent’, Paul Zerdin entertained the audience.
PHG raised £4,200 for Air Ambulances UK after hosting a charity raffle at the event.
