Yorkshire based drainage manufacturer Naylor Industries has attended the official opening of Barnsley’s Base71 Youth Zone, the first of three zones to be opened in Yorkshire this year.
Naylor has been an active supporter of Base71 since the initial planning stages back in the early 2020s, contributing to the capital costs of construction and co-hosting a business awareness evening to encourage other local companies to get involved.
Naylor events and corporate operations manager Helen Jowitt, comments: “With two thirds of our employees based at our Barnsley sites, we see ourselves very much as a Barnsley business and are committed to supporting the local community. More than 5,500 young people have already signed up as Base71 members exceeding the zone’s membership targets and underlining how important this facility is to the area. We will continue to support Base71 going forward and hope this helps to ensure that young people in the area have a safe, welcoming place to connect with one another and to develop the skills they need to thrive.”
