Leyland SDM celebrates colleagues at its award ceremony

Leyland SDM honoured its top-performing colleagues at its annual awards ceremony; over 33 of its stores, support centre and warehouse attended its event at The Brewery in Moorgate.

It presented 12 awards to its employees who made a special contribution over the last year, with the winners including Siobhan Kaminski – who won the CEO Special Recognition Award for her tireless work to improve the recruitment process and recruitment open days.ce4fbbbf 1f17 4ca7 bbc4 b2e66c641d30

Martin Hastings, CEO at Leyland SDM, said: “It was a truly fantastic event that paid tribute to some of the amazing people at the company. A huge congratulations to all of the winners who have made a massive contribution over the last year – but I am well aware that there are many others who have gone above and beyond for the business and our customers.

“We have almost 450 colleagues and they really are the heartbeat of the company. We are continuing to make significant progress and we could not do that without the support, drive and dedication of our amazing people.”

There were also Colleague of the Year prizes, with Alex Hunter winning in the Store category. Alex, who works at the Clapham High Street store, was praised for helping to upskill new starters and being proactive in searching for new account holders.

Gabriel Horn won the Warehouse Colleague of the Year award for showing initiative to improve processes, while Aleksandra Niklewicz scooped the Support Centre category gong for assisting the commercial and finance teams with insightful data.

Lee Webb, meanwhile, was hailed as a “visionary” for leading Leyland SDM’s Edgware store to unprecedented success while supporting other stores in London. He was named Store Manager of the Year.
