John Brash celebrates 110th anniversary

John Brash and Co Ltd held two events for their 110th anniversary, and night shifts to make sure all 121 members of staff were able to join in with the celebrations.

The company is one of Gainsborough’s largest employers and has relied on local talent to build a business that is regarded as one of the UK leaders of quality wooden products.

Christian Brash, company chairman, said: “We have a lot to celebrate at John Brash, and our 110th anniversary is a great opportunity for everyone to come together and toast our remarkable success.

“John Brash is very fortunate to have a highly skilled local workforce, which is the reason we have been able to strive for continued improvement across our business, from the efficiency of our manufacturing processes to the quality of every piece of timber that leaves our Beckingham premises.

“There is also a great sense of excitement because we have a lot to look forward to, as we are seeing strong growth, particularly on our flagship timber roofing batten JB-Red. This is in increasing demand from house builders as the construction of new homes continues to gather pace across the UK.

“Our anniversary is an important benchmark for everyone at John Brash, and we’ve all raised our glasses to the next 110 years.”
