Jeld-Wen use big merchants to reach the small

Jeld-Wen UK have established eight individual door distributors around the country to enhance service to their smaller local merchant customer base.
The distributors include Ridgeons, Archibalds, Alsford Timber, Arnold Laver, Robert Price, Rembrandt, DCB and XL Joinery.

All eight will act as regional distribution centres to provide a nationwide service on the company’s core range of moulded and veneered doors.

Jeld-Wen sales director Adrian Wade said “By having a national network of distributors we can offer smaller merchants who don’t buy in large quantities a fast, effective service with even easier access to a wide range of doors.”

Each distributor offers fast delivery to the branch or the option of collection, if preferable. There is no minimum order on the number of doors that can be bought through these distributors, which in most cases avoids the minimum order value Jeld-Wen would usually apply. Non-stocked items are available within 8-12 days of placing an order.

David Oldfield from Arnold Laver Timber World said: “We are delighted to be continuing our relationship with Jeld-Wen to help local merchants to benefit from our national sites and fast delivery service. The response so far has been very positive and we are expecting to see an increase in door sales over the coming months.”
