Door manufacturer JELD-WEN has released a new RIBA-accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to support the specification of timber doorsets.
The CPD, titled ‘Sourcing sustainable doorsets: timber, carbon & compliance’, discusses the requirements of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), due to come into effect in December 2026, and what this means for specifiers sourcing wooden doorsets.
The CPD helps specifiers navigate the shifting procurement landscape and better understand how the EUDR aligns with existing UK building regulations and the UK Timber Procurement Policy (TPP).
Specification development manager at JELD-WEN, Mike Shannon, says “With reputation on the line, it’s crucial that specifiers have the necessary support and guidance to help them source responsibly. This CPD helps to ease this burden by breaking down key components of the procurement process into an easily digestible format.”
