James Burrell Builders Merchant raises money for Prostate Cancer and MIND UK

Family-owned north west builders merchant, James Burrell, hosted its first Charity Ball on November 3 at Ramside Hall, in aid of charities Prostate Cancer and MIND UK. .

The night, hosted by BBC Tees presenter Gary Phillipson was attended by over 150 suppliers, customers and staff, alongside headline sponsor, Aquaspira. In total, the evening raised over £13,000.

Nick Richardson, of James Burrell’s senior management team, took to the stage to welcome guests and to give people an over view of what James Burrell truly means to the Richardson family and their hopes for the future for the company.

He said: “Thank you to each and every person who came along to our fundraising dinner and helped us raise an amazing total.  The kind donations have helped us take our yearly total to over £20,000. I would like to say a personal thank you to all of our sponsors on the evening. We are all really proud of our first ever charity event and the remarkable team effort that went into making the night a success.”
