James Burrell raises over £5000 at charity golf day

James Burrell Builders Merchant has welcomed over 70 players to the Championship Prince Bishop course at the award-winning Ramside Hall for their first-ever Charity Golf Day.

James Burrell Charity Golf Day 0077

The successful day raised a total of £5031.80 for the companies’ charities of the year, Prostate Cancer UK and MIND.

The money was raised through James Burrell customers and suppliers purchasing a fourball team and sponsoring a hole on the course. The fundraising was then boosted through a raffle, charity ball competition and mulligans.

Nick Richardson, part of the senior management team at James Burrell, said: “I would like to take this opportunity and sincerely thank all of our staff, customers and suppliers who supported our golf day and helped us raise a fantastic amount of money for two very important charities.  The day wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support.

“I would also like to pass on my thanks for all of the great feedback that we have received about the day and we look forward to hosting the event next year”.

Prostate Cancer UK and MIND UK were nominated by the James Burrell staff to be their charities of the year for 2023. James Burrell will be holding various events throughout the year to continue to raise funds for both charities and to help fund the remarkable work they do.
