Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
The IoBM (Institute of Builders Merchants) has announced the venue, host and theme for its third conference.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Thrive: How to advance your career in Merchanting”, and as part of the registration process, everyone attending will be asked to identify the single skill they consider most critical to the future success of merchanting. Their responses will be addressed directly during the day.
The conference, open to both members and non-members, will be hosted by BBC TV and radio presenter Jason Mohammad, best known for hosting BBC One’s flagship football shows Match of the Day, MOTD2 and Final Score, and will take place on October 15 2026 at the JCB World Headquarters in Uttoxeter.
Chairman of the IOBM Management Committee, John Newcomb, said: “The IoBM Conference is a unique opportunity for members and those considering membership to come together, share ideas and focus on the skills that will drive our industry forward. I look forward to welcoming delegates to what promises to be an inspiring and valuable event.”
Registrations for the IoBM Conference are now open. Attendance at the conference is free for IoBM members, but they must register in advance. The cost for non-members is £65+VAT.
